Business Logo Design - Is Clients Input Important

Remember! Your success lies in client satisfaction, and your client would be satisfied when you come up with a business logo design that has all the elements mentioned in the client brief. Make sure you thoroughly discuss the brief with your client in order to avoid any confusion later on. Input from your client is always essential before you start working on the project.

I am going to revise all the questions you need to ask your clients while discussing the brief with them. This would dig out exactly what your client wants and of course this practice would save you a lot of time you will be wasting on revisions, in case the logo fails to convince the client in the end.

Nature of the business: Every logo has to be associated with the business/product and has to have a concept behind it. For that you particularly need to ask your client about the nature of his business. Whether your client is in construction business, wedding consultancy or have recently opened a beauty salon, it is best practice to get to know their target audience. A logo which associates and communicates the right message of the business to its target market gets instant recognition. So make your client speak, this would help you to search for the latest trends in that particular industry.

Brief your client about different types of logo designs: Asking your clients abruptly about the type of logo they want is something every designer should avoid. Instead, a far better idea is to first brief your client about the different types of logos. Let them speak up what they think is appropriate and then give your feedback as to what should be more suitable according to the nature of their businesses and products. Deciding what treatment should be given to different logos is a crucial aspect and must be clarified before starting the project. Give your clients examples of Iconic, Illustrative, Textual or a combination of them because there is a possibility that they might or might not know about it.

Let your Client decide the colors: It's always advisable to discuss the colors of your client's logo. Remember, as a logo designer your utmost responsibility is to satisfy your client's needs. If you create a logo according to your aesthetic taste, with colors you think go best with it, while your client mentioned some other colors in the brief; there are 90% chances that your logo would get rejected. He would come up to you and say, “I never asked for these colors. What made you choose them and forwarded something I never wanted?”

So it is better to give your expert opinion, right at the time of discussing the creative brief because more often than not, clients don't know anything about the trends and even the basics of logo designing, yet they impose their personal preferences, which should finally be spelled out before you start the project.

There are different categories of colors which should be kept in mind according to the target market of your client. It can be subtle pastel colors when targeting small babies and their parents, while it can be bright, sharp colors for teenagers specifically. For adults, there should be a mix of both light and dark colors, whereas, try a combination of soft and dark ones for middle aged adults and older people.

Ask your client the number of colors to use in the logo. It is best to use minimum colors, however, it depends upon the nature of your client's business and the product portfolio. If your client owns a toy shop and needs a colorful logo for his business, even then it is best to advise to stick to a maximum of three colors, not more than that.

Themes and Words: Professional logo designers always involve clients in a discussion related to logo design prior to starting their projects. It is best to ask your clients if they have any specific theme for their logo or if they want any words to be incorporated. It is your duty to suggest if your client has no idea whatsoever about the themes, designs, visual enhancements or the words but keep in mind that no one knows your client's target market better than your client. So always engage them to come up with the best possible results.

Probe the ultimate Don'ts: It can be a possibility that your client might not exactly know about what design should his logo be, but he must clearly know about the elements which shouldn't be a part of the design in any way. So as a designer, you must jot down all those elements which you won't include in the logo. If you don't practice this, you would end up pissing off your client.

Ask your Client their favorite logos: Ask your client about their favorite logos. So what if most of them end up with Nike and Apple. There would be clients who might be interested in logos which they think are well designed and have impact. This would give you a better idea about their tastes and requirements.

Last but not least, as a designer, you should have better answers to most of the questions mentioned above but as we say, client is the king, and any designer's ultimate responsibility is to satisfy the client. Hence, openly welcome the input of your client at every stage of designing his business logo.

Loss My Data and Data Recovery

All computers are powered by a tiny silicon processor that carries millions of transistors too small to be seen with naked human eyes. The unique feature of the processor is that it can combine the power of the transistors to carry out a huge amount of calculations per second. This is what gives computers their incomparable computing power. Digital devices run a variety of software to harness this power and are able to surpass humans and mechanical devices in terms of performance and quality of work done.

Computers generate a large amount of data during their routine operations. To keep this data safe and sound even after the machine has been switched off, a number of data-storage devices have been invented. These differ widely in storage capacity, shape and size as well as price. Their capacity ranges from a mere 1.2 MB of the now-almost-extinct floppy diskette to an enormous 500 GB of a portable hard drive.

These storage devices use different technologies to store data. The optical disks, as the name states, use a laser to read and write data, while hard disks use an electro-magnet mounted over their head. The new-fangled USB drives use flash memory and electric charge to perform their storage functions. All these storage devices, though very useful in day-to-day computer work, have one thing in common – they can lose all their data abruptly and leave the user in the lurch. Thisdata loss can occur due to a variety of reasons.

Hardware errors are quite common. These relate to defects and malfunction of the physical surface and components of the storage media. Hard drives are quite delicate devices that are susceptible to impact trauma. The most serious error that can occur to them is a head crash. Water and fire damage can also result in serious cases ofdata loss.

Optical disks may lose data due to corruption of their exposed recording surface. Then there are software causes. These relate todata loss due to some problem with the software programs and actual user data. The most common software errors are accidental deletion of a file by the user, accidental reformatting of the storage media and a virus attack.

Data loss for any reason is a serious business. It can lead to tremendous losses and financial setbacks for companies. For individuals, loss of critical files may result in a lot of inconvenience and hand-wringing. The moment someone’s data gets lost, the first priority is to get it back as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the case, the cost and time involved in recovering data may range from negligible to phenomenal.

For data loss due to software causes, Do It Yourself (DIY) recovery software is a good option. There are many companies that sell these packages through their websites. You have to pay online using a credit card and download the software to your computer hard disk. DIY recovery is ideal for cases such as accidental deletion of files, file corruption and even reformatting of the storage media. The only danger in this is that if you are unlucky, the software files may get downloaded exactly on the same spot of the hard disk where your missing files have been residing. This will result in overwriting and may lead to permanent loss of the missing data.

Getting data recovered professionally is the only option in cases of data loss due to hardware causes and serious software errors. The professional recovery companies use specialized equipment and tailor-made file-extraction software to recover your data. They have a team of technically qualified and experienced engineers who extract the files carefully using a variety of techniques.

The most important asset these companies have is what is called a clean room. This is a small space enclosed from all sides in which the air is continuously recycled through powerful filters, removing all air-borne contaminants, even microscopic ones such as skin flakes, sweat, human hair, perfume vapour and chemicals. Entry into aclean room is strictly regulated and the technicians have to wear a moon suit.

Clean rooms are needed because hard disks are very sensitive to dust. Even a tiny spec wedged between the platters and head can make the disk to crash, leading to catastrophicdata loss. In a clean room, the disks can be opened, repaired, resealed and handed back to the customer.

Professional recovery is not an inexpensive proposition. It can cost a lot of money because of the effort, technical skill and infrastructure required to extract the lost data. However, it is worth it if the alternative is the collapse of your business due todata loss.

Build a Website in Minute

You know you need a website for yourself or your organization. Now the only question is how you are going to go about doing it without breaking the bank. But at the same time, you don't want it to look cheap either, it needs to look professional and be easy to change when changes are needed.

Having a web site today has become a necessity for individuals and organizations alike. Your online presence matters much in the global world we live in, especially if you want to be heard, to make a difference, then having your website is essential.

Making your own website is even more important if you want to do business online, or want to promote your products or services online. An effective website can do wonders in the marketing domain and get you the sales you desperately need. What’s more is that a mere website can change you from having a local presence to having a global one.

So what do you do if you want to have a website? The first thoughts that come to mind are thoughts that will send jitters down your spine. Instantly when you think of making a professional, classy website, with a website design that is catchy, you think of hiring professional web designers, making them understand how you want your website to be, paying them hundreds (or thousands) of dollars to make the website and then paying them more, and possibly having to wait days or weeks, for every change you want in the future. That is sure to make you weary and your pocketbook thin. In the old days (a few years ago) that used to be about the only choice you had unless you wanted to grind it out on your own trying to learn HTML coding from scratch. Yuck!
Now with CSS programming, it's even more difficult to do on your own.

Fast forward to today: Now even a rank newbie can have their own professional website in just a few minutes. There are now some great options to make your very own website yourself with hardly any knowledge of programming or HTML or any of those complicated things. You can make your own website design, choose from a range of website templates and fill out the content the way you want, and, if you get the right website builder, you can make changes any time you want, whenever you want without it costing you anything extra.Making your own website has now become an affordable, do-it-yourself and easy thing to do, if, and I say if, you choose the right one.
But beware: choose the wrong web builder, and it could be a nightmare.
What you are looking for is an affordable, workable, professional looking website building tool preferably with a reasonable monthly fee of no more than $50 (to start) and preferably no contract. If you see them ask for a long-term contract, you should step back and reconsider.

Anyone who has went to a search engine and typed in business will now this is not true. There are online networks of websites that are all aimed at helping people succeed in internet business. These people offer free information and plenty of support. A person can find answers to almost any question they have and even talk to others who have started their own business. Theinternet business environment is one of helping others.

One myth that may hold some truth is that marketing online is impossible. While it is, obviously, not impossible it can be difficult for the beginner. A person has to understand how to drive traffic to their website and how to catch the attention of their target market.
